Our Mission

At the heart of Aspire’s mission is securing parole and probation-approved housing for men on the sex registry.

We understand how overwhelming yet hopeful you feel when someone you love and care about is about to be released from prison. The excitement of reuniting with them is mixed with genuine concern for finding them a safe place to land and begin anew.

Aspire Austin is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and public charity, FEIN: 87-3004987. With a decade of experience and officially founded as a nonprofit in 2020, Aspire was established by individuals who’ve walked this challenging path themselves and know what it's like to walk a mile in your shoes. They understand the balance of freedom and safety, and believe every person deserves a second chance in an environment where they can thrive and succeed!

We Understand Your Journey

Since you are here, you're likely feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. You want your loved one to be home, but you also want them to be somewhere safe, supportive, and nurturing, not just any place that will take them.

You've probably been searching for that rare combination: a place that's parole-approved but also feels like a real home, somewhere your loved one will be cared for, not just housed. You want them in a community where they'll be understood, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed. You're not just looking for an address—you're hopeful that your loved one will regain independence and live life to its fullest.

We created Aspire to be exactly what you've been searching for—a place where your loved one isn't just another resident but a valued member of a caring community committed to their success as they transition out of prison and reenter society.

What Makes Our Home Different?

When your loved one walks through our doors, they're not entering another institution—they're joining a supportive family. Our house feels like a place where anyone would want to live:

A Real Home:

Comfortable, fully furnished bedrooms in a quiet, safe neighborhood where your loved one can finally breathe freely and focus on their future.

No Judgment:

We don't ask about past mistakes or check credit scores. We see the person they're becoming, not the past they're leaving behind.

True Freedom:

Your loved one can come and go as they please, drive their own car, and live with the dignity and independence they deserve and long for.

Caring Support:

Our reentry coaches have been where your loved one is now; they understand both the challenges and the possibilities that come with starting over.

Family Connection:

We want to help strengthen the bonds that will support their success. Adult family members and friends are welcome to visit our residents without appointments or restrictions, except for minors.

Our Impact

Over the past decade, we have welcomed more than 1,000 men into our homes. We have witnessed fathers reuniting with their children, sons sharing good news about new jobs with their mothers, and families celebrating milestones they once thought impossible. Over 90% of our residents find meaningful employment within 30 days, not because we force them but because we create an environment that allows them to thrive. Sharing in successes like these is like oxygen for the soul of our business. We are eager for similar outcomes to become a reality for you and your loved ones.

Meet the Team

Founded in 2020, Aspire Austin was established to address the acute need for supportive housing for RSOs. Our founders recognized the challenges faced by this population in finding a stable environment to rebuild their lives. With a background in recovery and sober living, our team is uniquely equipped to provide the specialized support needed for successful reentry.

Steven | Reentry Coach

Steven is a Program Manager and Leader at Aspire. He is currently in recovery from substance use disorder and has over two years of time without the use of substances. Steven has experience in dealing with incarceration and reintegration personally. After his release from prison in 2015, he has since had many triumphs and tribulations. His ability to connect to individuals on a personal level based on past experiences has proven to be a great asset.

David | Reentry Coach

David overcame a turbulent life marred by addiction, begining at 12 until his recovery at 48. From foster care to a trailer park, his journey included 87 brushes with the law and family estrangement. His redemption began in 2005 with court-ordered rehab and after embracing recovery he became a certified recovery coach helping thousands recover, from all kinds of addictions. David's raw authenticity resonates with residents, offering them hope amidst addiction's chaos.
